Select A Hotel That Features Oceanfront Suites

Blog

Choosing which hotel to stay in is an important part of planning for an upcoming trip to the beach and will have a direct effect on how well you and your family enjoy the getaway. If one of your main motivations for traveling to a seaside town is to experience the salty-scented air and the sound of crashing waves, choose an oceanfront hotel suite that offers indoor and outdoor full views of the ocean.

Oceanfront Versus Ocean View

An oceanfront hotel suite will provide panoramic views that will allow a guest to experience the beach from all angles. An ocean-view suite will offer a partial view of the ocean and the location of a suite will have a bearing on how much a guest can see.

At some hotels, an ocean view room may not even include a private balcony. This type of setup may involve being able to view the ocean from a window, but needing to exit the hotel in order to experience the outdoors and all that the ocean has to offer.

The Location, Size, And Balcony

When booking a hotel room, inquire about the suites, including the location of each one, the size of a standard suite, and the number of exits in each rental. Asking if a suite features both a screen and a glass sliding door is another important inquiry if you have pets or small children and want to experience the sound and view of the ocean, but do not feel comfortable about leaving the glass door open while you do so.

Seek a hotel that features private balconies, each with a high ledge that surrounds the entire balcony, but that won't block the view of the ocean. A railing or a ledge that contains slats or a glass-encasement that wraps around a balcony will provide premium viewing opportunities.

The Walking Path And Seating Area

If you want to walk down to the ocean to pick up seashells or if you plan on relaxing outdoors with a book, being aware if a hotel offers direct access to the beach and a pleasant seating area will help you determine if the activities that interest you will be able to be conducted easily. A highly-rated hotel may include a set of steps that are located conveniently near each suite, a paved walkway, and seating that is arranged along a grassy area that is adjacent to the beach.
